Drawing on Enowa’s extensive experience with implementations, optimizations, upgrades, rollouts and other SAP related projects, we provide the most efficient consulting services available. The efficiency of our teams is guaranteed through strict adherence to Enowa’s guiding principles for every project, which are:

  • Experience: The key to finding the right answers to the most difficult and often most critical questions is Experience. Enowa employees are sufficiently experienced in their cross module fields as well as working together as a coherent team across functional areas and technical topics.
  • Small teams specifically tailored to the needs of our clients: Enowa’s teams are strong through efficiency, not through size. The sizes of our consulting teams for any given project are typically smaller than those proposed by other consulting firms. We believe in smaller, but carefully assembled teams with just the right skills and personalities, rather than headcount.
  • Industry expertise: We speak your language, use the appropriate terminology and understand the particularities of your industry. Each client has uniqueness; it is Enowa’s role to determine suitable solutions when tying your company’s processes to SAP.
  • Extension of our clients’ team: We see ourselves as the extension of our clients’ teams; we fully integrate, live and breathe the project for as long as it takes, often long after the end of the project by communicating and answering post go-live questions.
  • Trusted advisor: Trust is the foundation of every successful consultant-client relationship; our goal is to earn our clients’ trust with every project. This can be demonstrated by a long list of clients who have been serviced by Enowa for more than a decade on a wide range of project tasks.

  • We emphasize the importance of a carefully scoped project, weighing completeness vs. manageability.
  • We follow proven implementation methodologies and business best practices while respecting and preserving uniqueness.
  • We realize an SAP implementation constitutes a major change to our clients’ business operations as well as culture. We are cognizant of any organization’s limits to absorb and to manage change.
  • We emphasize change management through vigorous knowledge transfer and training for SAP functionality and helping users manage the impact to their daily activities.

SAP upgrade strategies ideally consist of several phases that progressively expand functionality and increase business value while minimizing risk. The progression consists of a Technical Upgrade to achieve software release currency as a foundation for subsequent Functional Upgrade steps delivering functional and strategic enhancements.

  • We typically recommend starting with a technical upgrade followed by functional and strategic enhancements after a period of stabilization. This allows for a clear mission, namely release currency, and a well defined scope of activities, namely regression testing and remediation.
  • Special consideration is always given to opportunities to replace custom developed functionality in old release in favor of functionally-equivalent standard, delivered functionality in the new release. Enowa brings the knowledge of new standard functionality and assists clients to achieve results while balancing the functionality and change.
  • Maintaining a live system landscape while upgrading in parallel can only succeed when a strict change management process is followed and moving parts are minimized. Minimizing changes to the live environment is the best way of minimizing moving parts. Enowa’s clients adhere to guidelines which enable this approach to be successful.

The most efficient SAP Rollouts are driven by global business process orientation. Global business process orientation requires careful examination of commonalities in business process requirements as well as differences resulting from unique and distinct local requirements. An optimal “template design” can only be achieved by understanding and accepting the objectives of a global SAP implementation as well as respecting unique local requirements.

  • Gaps between the template design and local requirements are inevitable, even with the most comprehensive template design. A thorough gap analysis is required for each rollout and will lead to measures to close the identified gaps and to further enrich the template.
  • Enowa actively supports our clients in dealing with the many complexities surrounding a global SAP implementation such as business and data harmonization issues, global project team organization, diversity within project and support teams as well as technical diversity within regional IT infrastructures.
  • While our clients have different requirements for the degree of data and business process harmonization across a global footprint, we find that a certain degree of harmonization is always desirable. Enowa brings the special expertise to help achieve the desired or the required level of harmonization even if retroactive adjustments to existing data is necessary.
